How we verify every member

Every person on Private Sugar Club goes through a multi-step identity verification process before their profile becomes visible to anyone. There are no shortcuts and no exceptions.

Government ID submission
Members submit a government-issued photo ID. We accept passports, driving licences, and national identity cards from all countries worldwide. This step screens out underage applicants, scammers, and bad actors alike — anyone who cannot provide a valid ID confirming they are 18 or over, or whose identity raises concerns during review, is rejected at this stage and never reaches the platform.

Face photo matched against ID
Members submit a selfie which is cross-referenced against the photo on their submitted ID. This confirms the person creating the account is the same person named on the document.

Video selfie / liveness check
Members complete a short video selfie to confirm they are a real, live person — not a photo, deepfake, or stolen identity. This is the same liveness technology used by major financial institutions during onboarding.

Manual review by a human moderator
Every new account is reviewed by a member of our moderation team within 6 hours of submission. Automated checks are not enough on their own — a trained human reviews profile content, photos, and submitted documents before approval is granted.

Automated duplicate account detection
Our systems cross-check every new submission against existing accounts to identify and block duplicate registrations, including attempts by previously banned users to return under a new identity.
Optional: Sugar Daddy income & lifestyle verification. Sugar daddies complete the same full verification process as every other member — government ID, face photo, liveness check, and manual review. Beyond that, they can choose to earn an additional income-verified badge by submitting lifestyle or income documentation, such as a pay stub, bank statement, or third-party income verification. This badge is displayed on their profile and signals to sugar babies that the member has been verified beyond standard identity checks. It is voluntary, but meaningful.

How we prevent and remove scams

Sugar dating attracts a disproportionate share of romance scammers. We treat scam prevention as a permanent, active operation — not a reactive one. Here is what runs every single day.

Daily automated profile sweeps
Our systems run daily scans across all active profiles and conversations, flagging patterns associated with known scam behaviour for human review and removal.
Real-time in-chat warnings
When a conversation contains references to gift cards, cryptocurrency, wire transfers, 'verification fees,' or off-platform payment requests, members receive an immediate in-chat warning and the conversation is flagged directly to our human moderation team for investigation. Any profile that repeatedly attempts to move members off-platform — particularly to platforms commonly exploited by romance scammers such as Kik — is flagged automatically and reviewed for removal. The FTC identifies these as the most common romance scam tactics.
Verified-only messaging filter
On Private Sugar Club, direct messaging is exclusively available between fully verified members. Unverified accounts can purchase content or tip sugar babies, but they can never initiate or participate in direct conversations. Verification is not optional for communication — it is the requirement.
In-chat safety prompts
Before a member shares a phone number, WhatsApp, Telegram, or any other off-platform contact detail, we kindly surface a safety prompt reminding them of the risks of moving conversations off the platform too early.
Human moderation team
Flagged accounts and reported conversations are reviewed by our moderation team — real people, not just automated filters. We err on the side of caution: profiles under investigation are temporarily hidden from the platform while the review is completed. Every complaint receives a response within 4 hours.
Anti-blackmail reporting flow
Members who experience blackmail, extortion, or intimate image threats have access to a clearly labelled, direct reporting route which escalates immediately to a senior moderator.

Zero tolerance policies

The following behaviours result in immediate, permanent account removal. There are no warnings and no second chances for these violations.

Fraud and financial scams
Any attempt to solicit money, gifts, cryptocurrency, gift cards, or financial account access from another member.
Escorting or solicitation
Private Sugar Club is a sugar dating platform built around genuine, mutually beneficial relationships. Any attempt to solicit or offer paid sexual services results in immediate removal and, where appropriate, referral to relevant authorities.
Underage users
Applicants who cannot verify they are 18 or over are blocked at the ID verification stage and never admitted to the platform. Any account found to belong to an underage user is removed immediately and the incident is reported.
Blackmail and extortion
Any attempt to threaten, coerce, or extort another member, including intimate image threats, results in immediate removal and law enforcement referral.
Fake or impersonation profiles
Accounts using stolen photos, false identities, or impersonating real individuals are removed as soon as detected. Daily sweeps and duplicate-account detection are specifically designed to catch these.
Harassment
Persistent unwanted contact, threatening language, or abusive behaviour toward any member.
Other Terms of Service violations
Any conduct that violates our full Terms of Service is subject to review and removal at moderator discretion.

Every profile and conversation on PSC has a report button.

Reports go directly to our moderation team and receive a response within 4 hours. For serious concerns — blackmail, extortion, underage users, or financial fraud — use the in-app report flow and select the relevant category. These are escalated immediately.
